Early Birds Bag Discount to Bella 10K
Glasgow's ever-popular Bella 10K is back this autumn...
It may seem a while off, but when you're talking about one of the most popular running events in Glasgow - you do need to be quick off the mark to secure a spot. 12 November is the date for this year's Jimmy Irvine Bella 10K and for the first time ever organisers (Bellahouston Roadrunners) have announced an early bird price for the first 300 entries.
A regular sell-out on the Glasgow race calendar, the 10K takes in the Southside's splendid Bellahouston Park and is considered a great late autumn race with fantastic history and loyal fans. The event pays tribute to one of the Road Runners' founding members - Jimmy Irvine.
The course was redesigned in 2018 to make it as quick as possible and is run entirely on tarmac paths and the inner pavement along the park's boundary with Mosspark Boulevard.
Speaking about this year's race a spokesperson from Bellahouston Roadrunners said: "Your favourite 10K is back! You can expect all the things you love about the race - the long sleeved specially designed T-shirt, the nice tight course within Bellahouston Park, and of course our world famous post race spread!"
In 2022's staging there was (as always) healthy competition at the head of affairs but it was Cambuslang Harrier Ryan Thomson (30:51) who prevailed ahead of Shettleston Harrier Christopher McGarrity (31:51) while Glasgow University's Rosa Donaldson won the women's race with a time of 36:59 with Bellahouston Roadrunner Rebekah Russell claiming second in her club's race with 38:36 on the clock.
