Attitude And Altitude Await At Path Of Condie
Path Of Condie Half Marathon offers 13.1 miles of serious climbing and changing scenery around Milnathort, Kinross and Loch Leven....
This relates to: Path of Condie Half Marathon
The Path Of Condie Half Marathon returns to Milnathort on Saturday 24 October 2026, offering the kind of 13.1-mile challenge where reaching the finish can matter rather more than chasing a fast time.
Kinross Road Runners describes its race as a Half Marathon with "attitude and altitude", and the warning is well justified. Starting close to Orwell Church Hall in Milnathort, runners face frequently changing gradients and scenery on a demanding road course.
This is emphatically not being presented as an easy introduction to the distance. Kinross Road Runners advises against choosing Path Of Condie as a first Half Marathon and operates a three-hour cut-off, with runners expected to prepare appropriately for the challenge.
The event is deliberately small, with just 200 places available, and the organiser warns that it has a history of selling out. That gives the race a rather different character from the large city Half Marathons on the autumn calendar.
Race morning begins with registration at Orwell Church Hall between 9:00am and 10:15am. Registration is around a 10-minute walk from the start, where the race gets under way at 10:30am.
The course takes place on open public roads, although the organiser describes them as very quiet. It will be signposted and marshalled at key points, but runners are reminded to study the route information before setting off and to follow marshal instructions throughout.
Three water stations provide support around the course, with further water available at the finish. First aid provision will also be available, while prizes are awarded across the age categories.
Path Of Condie is run under UK Athletics rules and is a Scottish Athletics permitted event. Its combination of a small field, testing gradients and rural surroundings has given it a distinctive place on the Scottish autumn racing calendar.
For runners who actively seek out hills rather than avoid them, that challenge is precisely the attraction.
Entries are still vailable via the runABC race hub here.
