Jedburgh Half Marathon & 10K reaches a significant milestone on Sunday 25 October 2026 as the town welcomes runners for the 20th staging of its Half Marathon, alongside the 13th running of the Jedburgh 10K.

Both races start at 11:00am on Abbey Place in front of Jedburgh Abbey, providing an impressive backdrop before runners head through the square and down the High Street. From there the Half Marathon travels north before following rural roads towards Crailing and Eckford. The return journey brings runners back towards Jedburgh for a finish on the grass beside the river opposite Queen Mary's House.

The 10K shares the opening section of the Half Marathon route before reaching its turnaround at 5K. Runners then retrace their steps towards Jedburgh, while those tackling the longer distance continue east towards Kelso. Both races combine rural single carriageway sections with running on closed main roads.

The Half Marathon has four water stations positioned at approximately three, six, eight and ten miles, while the 10K has water around its turnaround section. All finishers receive a commemorative medal, with race registration taking place at Jed Thistle Pavilion from 9:00am.

Cancer Research UK is the chosen charity for 2026, with runners able to make a donation when entering.

Twenty editions gives the Half Marathon an extra reason to celebrate this October, but the essentials remain reassuringly familiar: two road races, a historic Borders setting and a town ready to welcome its runners home.
