Chatelherault Country Park Trails Races October 2026

Four Ways To Take On The Trails At Chatelherault

Four woodland challenges await at Chatelherault Country Park on 17 October, with distances from 6K to 20K and plenty of trail adventure along the way...

Chatelherault Country Park Trail Races take place on Saturday 17 October 2026, giving runners four different ways to explore the woodland trails of this spectacular South Lanarkshire setting.

Organised by Up and Running Events, the races offer 6K, 10K, 16K and 20K options, with the different distances using sections and combinations of a 10K trail course. Runners can expect forest paths, rolling climbs, bridge crossings, stair descents and plenty of twists and turns as the route heads deep into the country park.

This is not a race built around chasing a road PB. The changing terrain makes managing effort and maintaining concentration part of the challenge, while the range of distances means first time trail runners can line up alongside those looking for a longer test. The course will be fully marked with directional arrows and marshals positioned along the way.

All four distances are scheduled to start at 10:00am, with chip timed results, free race photography, a finisher medal, on course hydration and post race goodies included.

For anyone ready to leave the tarmac behind this autumn, Chatelherault offers a simple choice: pick your distance and embrace the trails.

Entries are available now via the runABC race hub.
