The Sky's The Limit!
Organisers of Salomon Skyline Scotland promise a series of new 'value for money' improvements for this year's event...
Are you ready for the UK's biggest weekend of trail running and skyrunning with five of the toughest trail races in the UK on offer where you can run alongside the world's best mountain athletes?
This year’s Salomon Skyline event will be held over the weekend of 16–17 September 2023, in a buzzing event village in the centre of Kinlochleven.
In addition to the 52K Glen Coe Skyline race, the Salomon Ring of Steall Skyrace, the Salomon Mamores VK and the Salomon Ben Nevis Ultra will also be returning to test more experienced mountain runners.
But Salomon Skyline isn’t just for international athletes and mountain goats. The event’s three lower level trail races – the Grey Mare’s 5K, the Loch Eilde Mor 10K and the Three Mealls 18K – will also be making their return, guaranteeing a race for everyone this September.
Organisers promise the event, focusing on Ben Nevis, the Mamores and Glen Coe, will again offer participants ‘excellent racing, superb trails and awesome adventures’, as well as the chance to watch the world’s top mountain runners in action.
Speaking about this year's staging a spokesperson from the event commented: "We are acutely aware of the cost-of-living crisis and want to ensure that the event offers great value for money for the UK and international trail and mountain running community.
From the new finishers' snack and free parking, to improved aid stations and fantastic new medal designs, there are plenty of exciting changes for 2023 to ensure that every participant has a brilliant experience. There is also an extra cost saving to be made by opting out of a finishers medal.
"All participants will have access to hydration at the finish line, including water, electrolyte, and cola. We will also be offering a light finishers snack (provided by a local Kinlochleven business) to all finishers."
