Call For Ambassadors
Inspire others, celebrate the running community and be part of one of Scotland’s most popular women’s running events...
Organisers of the Glasgow Women’s 10K are looking for passionate runners to step forward and become event ambassadors for the 2026 race, which takes place on Sunday 21 June. They are looking to showcase the real stories behind the start lines and finish lines, from first-timers and personal-best chasers to those who simply run for the joy it brings.
Ambassadors will share their journey in the lead-up to the event, highlighting the highs, the hurdles and everything in between. In return, they will receive free entry to the race along with official kit to help keep motivation high. It is a chance to inspire others, celebrate the running community and be part of one of Scotland’s most popular women’s running events.
The Women’s 10K begins at the Riverside Transport Museum, before heading east along the River Clyde with early views of some of the city’s most recognisable landmarks, including the Glasgow Science Centre, the Armadillo, the SEC and the SSE Hydro. Runners will cross the Clyde twice, first over the Squiggly Bridge and later the George V Bridge, before heading through the busy heart of the city.
Buchanan Street marks the halfway point, with the second half of the route leading past the south side of George Square and towards Glasgow Green. The finish line sits in the shadow of the People’s Palace, where crowds will be waiting to cheer participants home and medals, water and goody bags will be ready for every finisher.
Applications to be an ambassador close on Sunday 31 August, so those keen to take part in this unique opportunity are encouraged to put themselves forward without delay.
