Runners waiting to start at the Wolverhampton Half Marathon & 10K

Go West for the Wolverhampton Half and 10K

The 2022 event includes a scenic, undulating route on closed roads.

The 43-acre, Victorian West Park is the location for the start and finish of the Wolverhampton Half Marathon & 10K on Sunday 10 April 2022. This delightful park is one of several features at the event which has been moved to a new date after a turbulent two years caused by the pandemic.

A revised version of the event from StuWeb Race Timing and supported by the City Council, it hits the streets in April next year with a new course that caters for runners of all abilities. For those preparing for a late spring or summer marathon, the Half Marathon is a good choice and there are a few hills to test the legs but nothing extreme.

Conversely, the 10K is ideal for anyone wanting a shorter, faster race or doesn’t feel ready to step up to a half.

There is parking nearby or leave the car at home and travel by bus, train or the metro. The Half Marathon and 10K start at 9am where runners will leave West Park and along a closed road route which takes in sections of the City Centre and out towards the north west of the city. There are water stations every 5K.

All of this is accessible to spectators as it is their support and encouragement which keep the runners going to the end as the legs tire and the head starts to drop. The organisers are working on a number of motivators...

There are prizes for the top three men and women, age category winners and spot prizes.

More information about the Wolverhampton Half Marathon & 10K and how to enter can be found at the StuWeb Race Timing website.
