13 Arches Trail Half Marathon

The Perfect Autumn Half

Set yourself an autumnal goal and enjoy some of Greater Manchester's best trails...

The 13 Arches Half Marathon returns on 1 November, offering a multi-terrain challenge through some of Greater Manchester’s most scenic local trails. Starting from Sedgley Park Rugby Club in Whitefield, runners will take on a fully marked and marshalled course weaving through Philips Park, Drinkwater Park, Prestwich Clough and the Outwood Trail.

Organised by Radcliffe AC, the race is known for its varied route and the spectacular autumn colours that accompany it, with the early November date often delivering crisp, bright running conditions. The course offers a mix of terrain to keep things interesting and promises plenty of atmosphere both out on the trails and at the finish line.

The event features age category and team presentations, spot prizes and medals for all finishers, with a popular cake sale raising funds for local charities. Organisers pride themselves on creating a friendly, community-focused event that attracts runners from across the region.

Last year’s race drew just over 200 participants. Daniel Bird of Swinton Running Club took the win in 1:19:05, while Abigail Warburton of Bury AC was the first female in 1:28:43, finishing an impressive fourth overall.
