Flying Monk Malmesbury 10K Opens For 2026 Return

Popular Wiltshire 10K returns...

The Flying Monk Malmesbury 10K returns to Wiltshire on 5 September 2026 with runners once again set to race around the historic streets and surrounding roads of Malmesbury. Organised by iCompete Events, the popular South West road race starts and finishes at Malmesbury Victoria Football Club and continues to attract a strong mix of club runners and first time 10K participants.

Entries for the 2026 edition opened in April, with organisers again offering super early bird places alongside race day entries. The event has built a reputation as one of the more relaxed and runner friendly 10Ks in the region, combining chip timing and paced running support with a more social finish line atmosphere.

The course takes runners around the historic hilltop town of Malmesbury and nearby roads, creating a route that mixes quicker sections with enough variation to keep the race challenging throughout. The event remains beginner friendly while still attracting runners targeting a late summer PB.

One of the biggest talking points surrounding the Flying Monk Malmesbury 10K is the finish line reward. Organisers have confirmed that all 2026 finishers will receive either a Lilley’s Cider or a Mimosa after the race, with alcohol free options also available. On site catering, spectator access and pace teams also remain part of the race day experience.

The event has continued to grow steadily within the South West running calendar, helped by its combination of competitive racing and community atmosphere. Previous editions have sold strongly and organisers are again expecting high demand ahead of the September return.

Registration opens from race HQ on the morning of the event, with day entries available subject to capacity. All runners will collect bib numbers and timing chips on race day rather than through postal race packs.

Entries are available via RaceNation here.
