Pershore Plum 10K Brings Festival Feel To Worcestershire Roads
Festival atmosphere meets summer racing...
The Pershore Plum 10K returns on 30 August 2026 with runners once again set to combine summer racing with one of Worcestershire’s best known community celebrations. Organised by Pershore Plum Plodders, the popular event forms part of the wider Pershore Plum Festival weekend and continues to attract runners looking for a scenic late summer 10K with a relaxed festival atmosphere.
Starting from Pershore Leisure Centre, the flat multi terrain course heads through the town before crossing the River Avon and moving onto quiet countryside paths and roads around Wick. Runners then return towards Pershore for a finish in Abbey Park, with Pershore Abbey providing one of the standout backdrops on the Midlands running calendar.
The race has built a loyal following thanks to its combination of accessibility and atmosphere. The flatter route appeals to runners targeting a quick summer 10K while the festival setting helps create a more relaxed and social race day feel. Spectators, food stalls and wider Plum Festival activity around the town all add to the experience beyond the race itself.
Pershore Plum Plodders continue to play a major role in the local running community, with the club organising regular training sessions, social runs and local events throughout the year. The Plum 10K remains their flagship race and one of the best known running events in the area.
With late August sunshine, riverside scenery and a strong community atmosphere, the Pershore Plum 10K continues to stand out as one of the Midlands’ most distinctive summer races.
