Five miles of summer fun...
Beat The Barge returns to Great Linford, Milton Keynes on 8 August 2026, bringing back one of the area's most distinctive summer running events. Organised by Redway Runners, the approximately five mile route starts and finishes at Linford Manor Park and combines a variety of surfaces across the city's famous redways, canal towpaths and off road sections.
The route heads through Stonepit Field before joining woodland trails and sections alongside the Grand Union Canal. Runners experience a changing landscape throughout the race, moving between open parkland, waterside paths and shaded trails before returning to the finish at Linford Manor Park.

Runners of all abilities take part each year, with the combination of scenic surroundings and an enjoyable course helping to attract both regular participants and first time entrants.
