Northbrook 10K Set For Another Big Coventry Turnout
Coventry classic returns this summer...
The Northbrook 10K returns to Coventry on 12 July 2026 with runners once again preparing for one of the Midlands’ longest standing and best supported summer road races. Organised by Northbrook AC, the popular event combines rolling country lanes, strong local support and a welcoming atmosphere that continues to attract runners of all standards year after year.
Starting near the Jaguar Sports and Social Club in Allesley, the race follows an undulating route through the Coventry and Corley countryside before finishing downhill after a quicker closing section. The scenic course remains part of the appeal, giving runners a change from city centre racing while still delivering a competitive summer 10K experience.
The event is once again part of the Warwickshire Road Race League and regularly attracts a strong club running field alongside first time 10K runners and local participants. Organisers confirmed entries are already proving popular again after last year’s race sold out ahead of race day.
Northbrook AC continues to play a major role in the Coventry running scene, with the club known for its busy training programme, welcoming atmosphere and strong representation across Midlands road, trail and marathon events. The club also supports a wide range of abilities through coached sessions and regular community involvement across the region.
Alongside the main race, the children’s Fun Run returns for 2026, helping create a broader family atmosphere around race day. Local charities including the Allesley Festival and 1st Coventry Scouts will also benefit from the event as part of the organisers’ continued community focus.
One of the reasons the Northbrook 10K remains so popular is the balance between challenge and accessibility. The rolling profile gives experienced runners something to work with while still remaining approachable for runners stepping up to a summer 10K goal.
Entries remain open ahead of the July return, although organisers are expecting another busy turnout as race day approaches.
