Head down and game face on at the Crowle 10K

Community in action again as the Crowle 10K returns

A choice of three distances (and a BBQ) at this family-friendly event.

Here’s a date for your 2023 race diary: Sunday 7 May and the Crowle 10K which welcomes adults and children to this popular charity event. Three runs, a scenic route and entertainment are always vote winners.

The Crowle 10K bounced back in 2022 after a two year absence due to Covid and a good day was had by all. An event with something to suit young and not-so-young, it attracts a good turnout who always make the most of the occasion and there's a good chance of bagging a PB into the bargain.

If you're looking for some competitive action then try the 10K which starts at 11am from the Parish Hall. You'll complete a lap around the field then exit onto closed roads and continue up through Crowle before turning onto Old Turnpike Road. Keep going towards Sale Green where there's a water station then around you go and back down Old Turnpike Road and Crowle where you can expect plenty of support from local residents. Save enough for a last gasp dash across the finish at the Parish Hall.

There are prizes for the fastest runners in various categories and all finishers will receive a medal.

Kids will have their moment in the spotlight with a Quarter Mile Fun Run (for the under 9’s) and a 1 Mile Fun Run (for the under 16’s). The Quarter Mile begins at 10.10am followed by the 1 Mile at 10.25am. Parents can cheer their sons and daughters ahead of their race at 11am.

Once the racing is done, you can relax over tea or coffee and a there's a BBQ with homemade cakes.

This event fundraises for charities with the aim of boosting sports and social facilities for the local community.

To enter, visit the Crowle 10K website. Don’t leave it too long; this one's always popular....
