Take Me To The Beach

Scotland's only beach-based OCR event will return to the North East this August...

What better time to hit the beach in Scotland than on a sunny August day? It's good to be meteorologically optimistic in these matters however it is fair to say that whatever the weather gods provide on the day, those taking part in Aberdeenshire's Beach Ballistic OCR event are guaranteed a brilliant day out.

Beach Ballistic, Scotland's only beach-based OCR course will return on 5 August and will once again be based in Balmedie Country Park, the stunning beach and unique dune system along the Aberdeenshire coast. It is here that participants will challenge themselves over gruelling 16K and 8K OCR courses.

Obstacles are set in the unique and challenging coastal landscape, including a dip in the North Sea - so you can be assured that this will be a true test of strength, stamina and mental toughness for all those taking part.

Race organisers, Military Fitness Training, are expecting a massive turnout with runners from across the country descending on the east coast to test their fitness and have the time of their lives! All competitors receive a Beach Ballistic goody bag for taking part, with competitors who complete the arduous course receiving a unique Beach Ballistic medal.

It is a great day out for the family with an excellent park for kids as well as the obvious lure of a beach. If the thought of challenging yourself on the sand has inspired you, why not check out one of Military Fitness Training's Balmedie Beach Fitness Classes?
