Fast running at Sneyd RC's festive 5 and 10 mile event

Stride out at Sneyd RC’s Xmas Pud Run

Run 5 or 10 miles on a fast and flat course and bag a PB in time for the festive season.

It’s beginning to look a lot like the Sneyd Striders Christmas Pudding Run which takes place on Sunday 11 December with a 10am start. Participants complete 5 or 10 miles around Bloxwich to be rewarded with a selection of gifts. Just in time for Christmas...

A medal, t-shirt, Christmas pudding and goody bag will bring a smile to every finisher’s face at this long standing race from Sneyd Striders Running Club. This event attracts a good mix of runners, many from local clubs, who lap up the course, atmosphere and support from marshals and spectators.

Fancy dress is an important aspect. There will be people running in a variety of costumes in keeping with the theme, plus the fact it is a good excuse to do so! The prize list for the 5 Mile race includes one for fancy dress to add a competitive element.

This an open route where participants take left turns around Bloxwich as they run one lap (5 miles) or two laps (10 miles) on paths and roads. Some will go big or go home from the outset; others happy to take their time and enjoy the day with friends or teammates.

There are trophies and cash prizes to the top three men and women and vet category winners in the 10 miler; 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female in the 5 miler and don’t forget the Fancy Dress prize.

Any runner wanting to sample the Pudding Run can do so at the Sneyd Striders RC website. Online entries close on 7 December.
