Chrimbo Bingo Is Back For 2024
Take on this unique December challenge with See York Run York...
Race organiser, See York Run York has come up with a unique way to keep runners motivated during the crazy month that is December. Their Chrimbo Bingo kicks off on 1 December with a 20 grid bingo card that contains a mixture of numbers and objects to tick off throughout the month. Organisers say: "How and when you do them is totally up to you. You will be emailed a copy of the bingo card on 30 November together with some hints and tips about how to collect both the numbers and objects.
"The aim is to inspire runners to go out, maybe try a different route, but hopefully give you a fun element to motivate you during December when things do tend to get a bit hectic."
We hear that the numbers will be a good mix, so if you are just starting out on your running journey, numbers could be lampposts run or minutes without stopping. More experienced runners may want to collect their numbers in miles or kilometres.
There is no requirement to provide any evidence and the fun takes place throughout December. As with all See York Run York events, those taking part are encouraged to share their progress on Facebook, a spokesperson explains: "This is so we can see how you are getting on and all runners can give each other support and a bit of motivation."
So, will you aim for a line or a full house? Everyone who enters will receive a fabulous bespoke Chrimbo Bingo Wooden Christmas tree decoration for their efforts which will be posted out before Christmas.
