Run Rabbit Trail Festival

Chasing Carrots At Deene Park

A unique Midlands trail running festival returns with a challenge like no other...

One of the Midlands’ most distinctive running weekends is set to return this spring, as the Run Rabbit Trail Festival takes place at Deene Park on 9 to 10 May 2026.

Organised by Thump Events, the festival has built a reputation for doing things a little differently, combining traditional trail running with a creative twist that sets it apart from the standard race calendar.

Across the weekend, runners can choose from a range of events or take on the full challenge. Saturday features the Trail Mix Challenge, where participants tackle multiple 5K routes throughout the day, followed by the Headlight Hop 10K in the evening. On Sunday, attention turns to the Thump Trail Half Marathon, offering a longer test across the estate’s varied terrain.

For those looking to go all in, the festival also offers a combined challenge across all three events. Known as the Quest for the Golden Carrot, it brings together over 50 kilometres of running across the weekend and adds an extra competitive edge for those aiming to complete the full series.

Set within the grounds of Deene Park near Corby, the routes take in woodland trails, open countryside and rolling sections that provide both challenge and variety underfoot. The setting, combined with a welcoming atmosphere, has helped the event attract runners of all abilities, from those new to trail running through to more experienced competitors.

Away from the racing, the festival element plays a key role. With camping, food and a relaxed social atmosphere, the weekend offers more than just time on the trails, creating an experience that extends beyond the finish line.

With entries open and interest continuing to grow, the Run Rabbit Trail Festival once again looks set to deliver a memorable weekend of running in the Midlands.
