Why You Shouldn't Leave Your Stratford's Big Half Marathon & 10K Entry Too Late
After selling out in 2025, Stratford's Big Half Marathon & 10K is expected to be one of Warwickshire's most popular road races once again...
This relates to: Stratford's Big 10K Half Marathon & 10K
Summer may still be in full swing, but runners planning their autumn racing calendar are already being encouraged to think ahead to Stratford's Big Half Marathon & 10K. Following another sell out in 2025, organisers expect demand to remain high when the popular Warwickshire event returns this autumn.
Starting from Stratford Recreation Ground, both races showcase the very best of Shakespeare's Stratford Upon Avon. The Half Marathon and 10K routes take runners through the historic town before a memorable finish close to the Royal Shakespeare Company Theatre. Previous editions have also produced plenty of personal best performances, making the event equally attractive to experienced runners and those taking on a new distance.
Lodders Solicitors return as principal sponsor, while local charities Time Out and Friends of Stratford Hospital once again provide the volunteer marshals who help make race day possible. Entrants can also choose to support either charity with an optional donation when registering.
Both races benefit from chip timing, well stocked water stations and excellent organisation, with every finisher receiving a commemorative medal. Age category prizes are awarded alongside the overall podium places, while Stratford Upon Avon offers plenty of cafés, restaurants and riverside attractions to enjoy after crossing the finish line.
With another capacity field anticipated, runners hoping to secure a place in either the Half Marathon or 10K are advised not to leave their entry too late. If 2025 is anything to go by, places are unlikely to be available for long.
At time of writing, entries were still available via RiderHQ here.
