One Event, Six Challenges At The Battle Of Stamford Bridge Run

From 5K to Ultra Marathon, the Battle Of Stamford Bridge Run offers flexible racing for every level of endurance runner....

The Battle Of Stamford Bridge Run returns to Northampton this September with a format that offers something for almost every runner. Organised by Circuit Running Events, participants can choose from a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Marathon, Ultra Marathon or the unique 6 Hour Challenge, making it one of the most versatile endurance events on the calendar.

Starting from Northampton Active, the event uses a lap based course that allows runners to build their chosen distance throughout the day. Whether you're aiming for a straightforward 5K, stepping up to your first Marathon or seeing how far you can go within six hours, the flexible format makes the event suitable for runners and walkers of a wide range of abilities.

The 6 Hour Challenge is particularly appealing for endurance athletes, allowing competitors to start a final lap right up to five hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds after the start. This creates opportunities to cover anything from Ultra Marathon distance to personal mileage goals in a supportive race environment.

A fully stocked aid station awaits runners at the end of every lap with drinks and refreshments, while every finisher receives a Battle Of Stamford Bridge medal and the organiser's popular five piece goody bag. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UK Athletics rules.

With entries remaining open across all six race options, the Battle Of Stamford Bridge Run offers a welcoming opportunity to tackle your next endurance challenge, whatever distance you choose.
