Few Half Marathons can match the unique setting of the Windsor Half Marathon. Returning on Sunday 27 September, the event offers runners the rare opportunity to race through Windsor Great Park, the only Royal Park managed by The Crown Estate and a landscape shaped by centuries of royal history.

Once part of a vast Norman hunting forest, Windsor Great Park is renowned for its magnificent avenues, ancient oak trees and sweeping open spaces. Along the route, runners pass landmarks linked to generations of British history, including equestrian statues overlooking Smith's Lawn and the magnificent tree lined avenues that make the park one of the country's most distinctive running venues. The park is also home to a herd of around 600 red deer, adding another memorable feature to this unique race.

The accurately measured two lap Half Marathon starts at 10.00am and is held under UK Athletics rules. Combining smooth park roads with gently undulating terrain, the course appeals to runners chasing a personal best as well as those looking to enjoy one of the most picturesque Half Marathon settings in Britain.

With entries closing on 25 September, runners still hoping to secure a place should not leave it too late. Every finisher earns the satisfaction of completing 13.1 miles in one of the country's most historic landscapes, making the Windsor Half Marathon a standout event on the autumn running calendar.
