Race With Royal Approval
Dig out your running regalia and head to Royal Leamington Spa for a fab 10K...
Royal Leamington Spa is the location for a regally great 10K this spring, with the return of the Regency 10K all set for 7 April.
Founded in 2004, the event is organised by volunteers from the Leamington Round Table, and supported by Spa Striders and other local groups such as 41 Club and Kids Run Free. Now attracting around 2,500 runners each year, over £350,000 has been raised to date.
A popular race due to its interesting and scenic course, the race can be described as being one of two halves with the first half hilly and off road followed by a paved second half!
The course is the same as it has been for the last few years and takes runners through some of the best parks and gardens Royal Leamington Spa has to offer.
The race starts at Newbold Terrace East and heads in an anti-clockwise direction around Newbold Comyn before heading back into the town centre taking you into Victoria Park, Pump Room Gardens, and Jephson Gardens. The finish area is at Mill Gardens, where those taking part will be greeted by large crowds of spectators.
