Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon

Leeds Marathon Is Back!

Back for a second time, the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon is a perfect May goal...

Following overwhelming success in its debut year, the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon returns to the city of Leeds on Sunday 12 May. If a marathon is in your sights for 2024 it is worth noting that without the worry of a ballot draw to contend with, you are guaranteed entry into this event, one of the biggest and best marathons of the year.

Whether you’re an aspiring marathoner or are keen to tackle the distance again, this is a marathon not to be missed. Epitomising the camaraderie that running offers, this race gives runners of all backgrounds and abilities the chance to run alongside one another in a fitting tribute to Rob Burrow.

Starting and finishing at the home of Leeds Rhinos, the iconic ATM Headingley Rugby Stadium, the circular marathon route will take runners around Woodhouse Moor, before travelling up through Headingley, Adel and Bramhope. Runners will then travel through the scenic villages of Arthington and Pool-in-Wharfedale, before weaving through the historic market town of Otley and back to Headingley for the electric pitch finish.

Held in support of the Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease Appeal as well as the MND Association, runners are not only taking part in an exciting and inspirational event, they are also making a difference to the lives of those in need.

So, whether you’re following Kevin Sinfield's mantra of Run For a Mate, With a Mate, fundraising for a charity close to your heart or looking to take on your very first marathon challenge, you are guaranteed a day to remember and a marathon finish line feeling like no other.

There is no denying that last year's Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon was pretty epic, but this year's could be just as great if you decide to join others on the start line! If you'd like to know more, visit the Run For All website.
