Eight day challenge awaits runners at the November Nightmare
It is the 8th year of this multi-distance event.
Eight races in 8 days and 8 medals as the reward. This is what a small yet single-minded group of runners will attempt at the November Nightmare (Sunday 30 October – Sunday 6 November). The question is what state will they be in after 8?
An intriguingly named event, the November Nightmare is a test of mental as well as physical fitness where participants have a choice of distances – 10K, Half Marathon or Marathon on each of the days. Each of the eight days is a race in its own right with an accompanying medal and if all 8 are completed it makes for an eye-catching display.
Organisers How Hard Can It Be Events & CODRC are known for the quality of their ‘bling’ and these are no exception. Appropriately scary seeing as one of the 8 days is Halloween.
The races are held at Coalport Village Hall, Coalport Railway Line and Lightmoor near Telford and involve multiple laps on country lanes and paths. There are well stocked aid stations to top up the energy levels and the camaraderie between the runners keeps the spirits up as they chip away at the miles.
Why stop at 8 races? There is the opportunity to run 10 races in 9 days by completing the Pumpkin Marathon and the Spooky Halloween Challenge on 29 October. The Pumpkin Marathon starts at 9am followed by the Spooky Halloween Challenge at 4pm and fancy dress is a must!
More details about the event and entry options are available at the How Hard Can It Be Events & CODRC website.
