Ormsary 10K Touches Down in Argyll
Scenic 10K incoming this September...
We all know that the scenery on Scotland's west coast is up there with the best in the world, if you want to tap into that then how about making plans for The Ormsary 10K? The scenic event isĀ organised by Ormsary Social Club and will take place on the beautiful Ormsary Estate near Lochgilphead in Argyll on 28 September this year.
The race starts and finishes at Ormsary Hall and takes runners around a small part of the estate. TheĀ route includes all types of terrain from tarmac, dirt tracks, muddy and rough ground and a few hills (up and down) - it really does offer a little bit of everything.
The course will be marshalled and have one water stop around the halfway mark. There will be prizes awarded to the first, second and third places male and female finishers.
Speaking about their event, organisers say: "After the race enjoy some hot soup, sandwiches and home baking courtesy of Ormsary Social Club. This is free for all participants and supporters are welcome to enjoy refreshments for a small donation.
"Please be aware that we don't have chip timing system so we thank you for your patience while results are assembled and ask that you do not disturb the race timings team during the race and immediately after! For obvious reasons!"
