Fast Coastal Running Returns To Dunoon
Fast 10K beside the Firth of Clyde...
This relates to: Dunoon 10K
The Dunoon 10K Coastal Road Race returns on Saturday 1 August 2026, bringing runners back to the West Bay for a fast and scenic challenge beside the Firth of Clyde.
Starting just outside The Boat House on Victoria Parade, the race follows the coast road south along the banks of the Clyde before turning back towards the finish. The officially measured route is flat, fast and run under a Scottish Athletics permit, making it a strong option for runners targeting a 10K personal best.
While the course offers real speed potential, its setting is every bit as memorable. Runners can expect sweeping coastal views, sea air and the distinctive atmosphere of a race staged in one of Argyll and Bute's best known waterfront towns.
All finishers will receive a branded technical race T-shirt and commemorative medal, while prize money is available for leading senior and veteran runners. Race numbers are collected on the day, with registration based on Dunoon Pier, a short walk from the start and finish area.
The event also has a strong destination feel, with Dunoon's coastal location making it an appealing race for those travelling from elsewhere in Scotland. For runners looking to combine a quick 10K with a summer visit to the Cowal peninsula, this is one of the most attractive road races on the west coast.
With its measured course, coastal scenery and welcoming race day setup, the Dunoon 10K Coastal Road Race offers a memorable mix of speed, setting and Scottish summer atmosphere.
At time of writing there were a handful of entries available here from Entry Central.
