Nairn Half Marathon 2026

Limited Places Left For Nairn Half Marathon

Scenic Highland half marathon nearing capacity...

This relates to: Nairn Half Marathon

Runners are being encouraged to act quickly to secure one of the remaining places for the Nairn Highland Games Half Marathon, with limited entries still available ahead of race day on Saturday 15 August 2026.

Organised by Nairn Road Runners and sponsored by Wright Johnston & Mackenzie, the popular event forms part of the Nairn Highland Games. Participants start and finish inside the main Games Arena, with many crossing the finish line to the stirring sound of the massed pipes and drums.

The scenic route takes runners past Nairn's beach and harbour before heading into the surrounding countryside and returning to the Games Arena. Although the course cannot be officially measured because of the temporary layout within the arena, it follows the half marathon distance and has earned a reputation as a fast, predominantly flat route.

Four water stations will be available around the course, with Active Root sports drink also provided during the race. The event is held under Scottish Athletics rules and continues to attract runners looking for a memorable Highland race experience in one of Scotland's most picturesque coastal settings.

With only limited places remaining, runners planning to take part are advised not to leave their entry too late for one of the highlights of the Scottish summer running calendar.

You may be able to get one of those final entries via Entry Central here.
