Getting stuck in at the Dirt Run

Dirt Run open for mucky good fun

There are two dates and three distances to choose from.

Start 2022 at the Dirt Run from Go Beyond Challenge – a multi-terrain, multi-distance event which has something to offer every runner all in the attractive surroundings of Irchester Country Park. This is an ideal way to see if your winter training is working...

Entries are open for this off-road winter warmer on Sunday 23 January and Sunday 20 February and, whatever the conditions, you are guaranteed an enjoyable day and a medal at the finish.

The event formerly known as the Wellingborough Multi Terrain Series consists of a 5K, 10K and 15K, all of which are held on hard surfaced trails, grass and mud. Runners complete 1 lap for 5K, two laps for 10K and 3 laps for 15K and everyone starts together at 10am.

This is a race for the off-road enthusiast who loves nothing more than an undulating, testing course to test their fitness levels on and hopefully bag a PB into the bargain. They can up the ante by entering both events (Round 1 and Round 2), with the goal of running faster or further in the second one.

It is perfect for the hardened road runner looking to switch to the trails or the parkrun enthusiast, keen to step up in distance. And equally suitable for anyone who is intrigued by the event and wants to see what it is like for themselves, happy to get round and finish. No navigation required.

Trail shoes are recommended irrespective of the weather which could be wet and windy or cold and frosty.

Book your place in the Dirt Run via the Go Beyond Challenge website. There is the option to run for a charity (visit the charity page).
