Worcester City Half Marathon & 10K 2026

A Big Weekend Of Running Returns To Worcester

City running festival returns this September...

The Worcester City Runs Weekend returns on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September 2026, bringing thousands of runners to the heart of the historic city for a packed programme of racing. The popular event features a Half Marathon, 10K, junior races and Paula Radcliffe's Families on Track relay, making it one of the West Midlands' biggest running weekends.

The Half Marathon and 10K take runners through Worcester's city streets before heading alongside the River Severn and into the surrounding countryside. With traffic free roads, enthusiastic crowds and iconic city landmarks along the route, both races offer an enjoyable challenge for experienced runners and newcomers alike.

Sunday's programme begins with the junior races before the 10K and Half Marathon take centre stage later in the morning. Every participant receives chip timing, a finisher's medal and a goody bag, while baggage facilities, city centre parking and a lively event village help create a welcoming race day atmosphere.

Saturday's action includes Paula Radcliffe's Families on Track, a fun relay challenge designed to get families active together. Teams complete a series of short relay legs around Worcester Racecourse, making it an accessible introduction to organised running for children and adults alike.

The Half Marathon has also been selected by England Athletics as an Age Group Masters qualification race, adding extra significance for competitive runners chasing championship places. At the same time, the inclusive programme ensures there are opportunities for runners of all ages and abilities to take part across the weekend.

Whether you're aiming for a Half Marathon personal best, taking on your first 10K or enjoying a family relay challenge, the Worcester City Runs Weekend offers a memorable celebration of running in one of England's most historic cities.
