Ultra X In England
Conquer the trails of the Peak District this autumn...
Runners will once again have the opportunity to take on the landscapes of the Peak District National Park as Ultra X England returns on 13-14 September. Offering four race distances this event is a must for trail running enthusiasts looking for a true test of endurance in one of the UK’s most iconic outdoor destinations.
Runners can choose from 110K over two days (Saturday and Sunday), a 60K race (Saturday), a 50K race (Sunday), or a 25K event (Sunday). The 110K race is split over two stages, with participants camping on Saturday night.
The Peak District is renowned for its rugged terrain, rolling hills, and challenging climbs, making it a perfect setting for an ultra-marathon. With a history dating back to the Mesolithic era, the region has evolved from ancient settlements to a landscape known for its spa towns, dramatic caves and an extensive network of footpaths and cycling trails. This rich heritage, combined with the Peak District’s remote wilderness, ensures an unforgettable racing experience.
All finishers will receive a race medal, with different ribbon colors awarded based on finishing times. Participants who prefer not to receive a medal can opt out at registration.
For those seeking the ultimate endurance test, Ultra X offers the Great British Slam, an exclusive award for runners who complete Ultra X Scotland, Wales and England in the same calendar year. To qualify, runners must complete ultra distances (50K or more) in all three events - so shorter races, like the Ultra X England 25K, don’t count.
