Mighty Morley 10K celebrates its fifth birthday on Sunday 4 October 2026, and the volunteer led event is marking the milestone by supporting five local good causes.

Organised by Morley Running Club, the not for profit 10K has grown around a simple combination of closed road racing, community support and raising money locally. This year's beneficiaries are Morley Running Club, M.I.N.T, Morley Grief Club, St Gemma's Hospice and Newlands Food Bank.

The single lap course takes runners around the historic streets of Morley and includes two out and back sections plus a three way crossover at the appropriately named Morley Bottoms. The profile is undulating, but runners can expect plenty of encouragement from spectators around the route.

For the fifth birthday, organisers are promising an improved start and finish area, five finish line birthday treats, an improved sustainable medal and additional post race food and drink options. Entrants can also choose a special T shirt and buff package.

The race welcomes everyone from experienced club runners to first time 10K participants and fancy dress runners, with wheelchair racers also encouraged to contact the organisers about individual requirements.

Five years in, Mighty Morley remains firmly rooted in its community, with local runners, volunteers and good causes at the centre of race day.
