Sheffield City 10K Charity Fun Run returns on Sunday 11 October 2026, bringing runners back to the paths of Rother Valley Country Park for an accessible autumn 10K.

Organised by MCC Promotions, the race uses an accurately measured two lap course around the country park, with the field getting under way at 10:00am.

The pathway route provides runners with a scenic setting of lakes, woodland and open parkland. It is open to entrants aged 15 and over, making it an option for experienced club runners as well as those relatively new to organised 10K events.

There are also some useful benchmarks for runners with quicker ambitions. Marcus Dey holds the men's course record of 33:37 from 2022, while Marsha Hanby set the women's record at 39:33 in 2024.

The course will be marked, with water available at various points and first aid provision on race day. There is also plenty of parking at Rother Valley Country Park, although parking charges apply.

Finishers receive a bespoke medal, with spot prizes also available. Trophies will be presented to the first three male and female runners.

The event supports Sheffield charity Roundabout, which works with young people affected by homelessness.

With two laps, an accurately measured course and the surroundings of Rother Valley Country Park, Sheffield City 10K offers a straightforward Sunday morning challenge with a local charitable purpose.
