2022 Cambridge Cambourne 10K open for business
Race in the morning then sightsee around Cambridge in the afternoon.
“Catch me if you Cam” at the Cambridge Cambourne 10K & Fun Run on Sunday 10 April 2022 which is back and open for bookings. The event has something for every runner, young or old, new or experienced and it's a race with a big heart too, raising substantial amounts of money for local charities. This year’s race was held in September due to the pandemic but returns to its usual April date in 2022.
Organised by Cambridge & Coleridge AC in partnership with Active Training World, the race is supported by the local community who enjoy being part of the event along with the runners and volunteers.
Part of the appeal of this 10K is the out and back rural course. Off-road and traffic-free, it promises a picturesque run through woodland and wildlife meadows alongside lakes. Whilst the route is near Cambridge, it isn’t flat so expect hills though nothing major and the finish is, in the words of the organisers: “One of the most inspiring in the country”. There is also a safe, fully marshalled 1 Mile Fun Run for children and families.
Expect two water stations, plenty of marshals and cheering crowds especially important during the all-important sprint across the finish line.
There are prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female and 1st male and female in all age categories: a bespoke medal for everyone at the finish.
