Elf Yourself This Christmas

There's not one, but two festive offerings this December at North Lincs' Normanby Hall...

Here at runABC we love a unique take on a classic idea and the double-billed festive offering at Normanby Hall on December 19 does just that. We’re all familiar with Christmas-themed races, but those dreamt up by race organisers Curlys Athletes for the North Lincs running community offer something a little bit different this year.

Normanby Hall’s magnificent grounds will play host to two quirky Christmas events, Elf Yourself and Rudolph's Revenge, all in aid of local charity - Lindsey Lodge Hospice. Situated in the heart of North Lincolnshire, Lindsey Lodge Hospice providea high quality, specialist palliative care and wellbeing services to local people and families living with life limiting illnesses.

The Elf Yourself fun run will take place in the afternoon and is the perfect event to get the whole family in the Christmas mood with runners young and old taking on the mission to help Santa get all of his presents to his sleigh!

Over a 3K course, runners will visit elf stations to pick up hats, ears and an elf name. There is also an opportunity to grab an ‘elfie selfie’, pick up the Christmas gift for Santa’s sleigh and then head back to Santa to get ready for his deliveries!

Later in the day things get (a little) more serious with the Rudolph’s Revenge night time 10K trail run. This course was designed by lead reindeer Rudolph to make sure the sleigh team has 'the right stuff' to deliver the best Christmas ever!

Heading out from the hall and out of the main park grounds, runners will disappear off into the winter wonderland woods and past the deer park for two 5K loops. Organisers say: “Earn your antlers and whatever you do ... don’t fear the deer!”

Jam packed with festive fun, December 19 at Normanby Hall is going to be one special day and night!
