Ramathon 2022

Get Ready For Ramathon

Just over four weeks to go until the return of Derbyshire’s oldest and biggest event of it’s kind

Derbion Ramathon will be making it’s annual return to the city of Derby on Sunday 19th June, along with the brand new Ram 5 Mile.

The Ramathon is the oldest and biggest event of its kind in Derbyshire. It was organised for the first time by Run for All in 2018 and has proved to be an extremely popular addition to their events calendar, attracting thousands of runners with many raising loads of cash for good causes.

Derbion Ramathon boasts an exciting new fast and flat 13.1-mile route; fabulous for those chasing a PB or beginners just starting out. Starting and finishing in Iron Gate close to Debry Cathedral, the picturesque route then takes in Pride Park Stadium, Alvaston Park and the stunning scenery of Elvaston Castle Country Park before returning to the city centre for the big finish.

Not looking to take on the mileage of the half? Let's introduce you to the Derbion RAM 5 Mile. Featuring the same start and finish as the half, the route travels through the city centre for the first 2 miles where, shortly after, the course heads towards Derby County’s Pride Park Stadium before returning to the city centre for the finish line.

Both events are chip timed, traffic free and offer a vibrant city centre atmosphere from start to finish. They're also for everyone – whether you're an experienced runner or just starting out, organisers welcome all abilities to take on the 13.1-mile or the 5 mile challenges. Fundraise for a special cause or chase a PB - regardless of your goal or reason organisers hope to see you on the start line this June.
