Scenic Perthshire Trails Await At Crieff 10K

Perthshire trail race returns...

The Crieff 10K returns on Sunday 12 July 2026 with runners once again heading to Perthshire for one of Scotland’s best known summer trail races. Organised by Strathearn Harriers, the event also hosts the 2026 Scottish Athletics National Mid Trail Championships for U20 and senior runners.

Starting from Morrison’s Academy Sports Ground at Dallerie, the multi terrain course climbs over Laggan Hill before passing the Baird Monument and returning towards Crieff along the River Earn via Lady Mary’s Walk. Organisers have also introduced a new section of trail for 2026 around Turret Burn.

With around 220 metres of ascent, the route combines woodland trails, riverside paths, quiet roads and open hillside running. The varied terrain gives the race a challenging but highly runnable feel, attracting competitive club runners alongside experienced trail and hill runners.

The Crieff 10K has built a strong reputation within the Scottish trail running calendar thanks to its scenic setting, welcoming atmosphere and well organised race day experience. Summer conditions and long daylight hours also help create a strong mid season race atmosphere in Perthshire.

Strathearn Harriers also stage a Junior 5K Trail Race on the same morning, helping turn the event into a wider community running day around Crieff. Local support and post race refreshments continue to be a popular part of the event experience.

The race is initially limited to 300 runners, with additional places potentially released depending on demand. Entries are available online through EntryCentral ahead of race day, with organisers expecting another strong turnout for the 2026 edition.
