Warrington Festival Of Running With Golden Gates

Brand New Running Festival Comes To Warrington

The countdown to Warrington's new autumn running festival is on...

There’s a new race in town. Warrington town that is! The Warrington Running Festival is a brand new event for the north west and after a false start last year due to C***D, race organiser RunThrough is chomping at the bit to show off its latest signing this September (26).

Inclusivity is at the heart of the festival which will feature four running events in one day – with the opportunity to take part in a half marathon, 10K, 5K, or kids’ race, in and around Warrington town centre.

Starting and finishing at the Town Hall’s iconic Golden Gates, all races boast road-closed, flat and fast routes that will provide the perfect opportunity to push yourself to a chip timed, personal best.

Warrington-born co-founder of RunThrough, Ben Green, said: “The Warrington Running Festival is an exciting new event for Warrington. We have been delivering successful and highly regarded running events for seven years - including the London Half Marathon, Cheshire 10K, Run Tatton, Run Aintree, Hampton Court Palace Half Marathon and many more, with over 120,000 runners taking part in a RunThrough event in 2019 alone.

“We are delighted to be bringing this large-scale event to Warrington, giving people of all ages and abilities the opportunity to push themselves - in a road closed, flat and fast route - to their own, chip- timed, personal best. The countdown to 26 September begins now!”
