New 10K For Easter
This new 10K is the perfect way to spend Easter Sunday...
A brand new road race is set to make its debut this Easter, with the SC10K already attracting strong interest ahead of its first staging. Taking place on Easter Sunday (5 April), the closed road 10K will start and finish at Crewe Vagrants Sports Club, following a one lap route through the nearby villages of Hough and Wybunbury.
Organisers say: "Our race's scenic course, combined with traffic free roads, is designed to offer a fast and enjoyable experience for runners of all abilities. We are delighted to say that with just two weeks to go, the event is already approaching capacity, with around 70% of places sold - so be quick if you want to join us!"
The first 350 participants will receive a bespoke SC10K finisher medal along with an Easter themed treat, while a further 150 discounted entries are available for those more focused on the racing experience itself.
Pacers will be on hand across a range of finish times from 40 to 60 minutes, helping runners target personal goals, while a post race cake sale is set to add to the relaxed and social atmosphere at the finish.
As a new addition to the local running calendar, the SC10K aims to combine the appeal of a fast closed road course with a fun, festival feel given its Easter date!
