Mossley 10K Brings Summer Racing Back To Saddleworth
Picturesque 10K returns to Mossley...
The Mossley 10K returns on 19 July 2026 with runners once again preparing for one of Greater Manchester’s best known undulating summer road races. Starting and finishing at Mossley AFC’s Seel Park ground, the event combines challenging roads, strong local support and wide ranging countryside views around Mossley and Saddleworth.
First launched in 2014, the race has steadily grown into a popular fixture for club runners, social runners and first time 10K participants. Organisers continue to position the event as a race that welcomes all abilities while still offering a properly competitive edge across the rolling course.
The route takes runners from Upper Mossley through Lower Mossley and Greenfield before returning to Seel Park for the well known grandstand finish inside the football ground. The course profile makes it far from flat, but the scenery and atmosphere continue to make it a favourite with runners across the North West.
Alongside the race itself, the event has also developed a strong community feel around Seel Park, with volunteers, supporters and local organisers helping create a relaxed race day atmosphere. Last year’s event village and finish area proved especially popular as runners gathered after the race overlooking the pitch and surrounding hills.
One of the biggest attractions for runners is the balance between challenge and accessibility. The route offers enough climbing to feel rewarding while still remaining approachable for runners looking to tackle a first organised 10K or improve on previous performances.
Entries remain open for the 2026 race, with organisers again expecting strong demand ahead of the July return to Mossley. All finishers will receive an official medal and goodie bag, while trophies are also awarded across senior and veteran categories.
Entries are avilable now through Time My Race.
