Helena Tipping Wrexham 10K
This could be the perfect opportunity to aim for a new PB on one of the fastest 10K courses in the UK...
The 34th edition of the Helena Tipping Wrexham 10K is fast approaching, taking place on 14 September. With just 100 places remaining, runners keen to take part in this popular North Wales event are being urged to sign up quickly.
As ever, the race is held in memory of Wrexham AAC member Helena Tipping and continues to attract a strong field looking for top performances on this speedy course surrounded by scenic countryside.
Organised by Run Cheshire, this race is known for its fast, flat course and impressive PB potential. The 2025 edition features a brand-new route, starting at the recently opened Net World Sports site on Bryn Lane in Wrexham and finishing at Isycoed Community Centre. Runners will complete just over one and a half laps of a shorter version of the Village Bakery Wrexham Half loop before being guided back to Race HQ.
A water station will be available at the halfway point and finishers can look forward to food, drink and a bespoke special edition medal at the end. Pacers, chip timing, free race photography and an electric race-day atmosphere are all part of the signature Run Cheshire experience.
The race also boasts some of the fastest times across the Run Cheshire calendar. The men’s course record is held by Marc Scott with a blistering 28:27, while Lily Partridge leads the women’s records with a time of 33:02.
