Pine Forest 5K Trail 2026

Scenic Views Await At Pine Forest 5K Trail Race

Summer Trail Series continues...

The Pine Forest 5K Trail returns as Race 4 of the popular Summer Trail Series, offering runners a short but rewarding trail challenge surrounded by some of North Yorkshire's most recognisable landscapes.

Designed to appeal to both experienced trail runners and those new to off road racing, the 5K route takes participants through forest trails with views towards Roseberry Topping and the Saltburn cliffs, providing plenty of scenery along the way.

The event forms part of the Muddy Roads Summer Trail Series, where runners can compete for both individual race prizes and overall series awards. Cash prizes are available for the first three male and female finishers at each race, while series competitors can also target Up & Running Darlington vouchers by completing four of the first five races.

The course offers an accessible introduction to trail running while still providing enough challenge to test more experienced runners. With forest terrain, changing gradients and natural surroundings, it delivers a different experience from a traditional road race.

Free parking and toilet facilities are available on race day, helping create a straightforward and welcoming event atmosphere for runners and supporters alike.

Open to runners aged 12 and over, the Pine Forest 5K Trail continues to be a popular fixture in the Summer Trail Series, combining competitive racing with some of the best trail running scenery in the region.

Entries are available via organisers Muddy Roads here.
