Farndon 10K

Fast Times At Farndon

This scenic Cheshire 10K is one for good times too...

PB-chasers can look forward to a fast and mainly flat course at the Farndon 10K, organisers suggest there are just a 'couple of minor hills' at this popular closed road event. Organised by Run Cheshire & Gogledd Cymru, it is their final 10K of the year with a race date of 24 September.

A spokesperson said: "This is a fantastic rural Cheshire course with a full road closure. The course is beautifully scenic, well-marshalled and last year provided many runners with PBs.

"Like all our races we have the most up to date integrated chip-timing, free parking, free to download photographs and amazing bespoke medals. This race is hugely popular with some of the fastest runners in the region as well as those testing themselves over the distance for the first time and everyone is welcome."

With the fast course on offer it is fair to say that club runners will be pushing the pace along with the elites. However, this 10K is equally welcoming to anyone trying the distance for the first time, returning from an injury or looking to get around and finish. Whatever their ability or level of experience, runners must complete the 10K within 1 hour 30 minutes due to road closures.

There is a £100.00 prize for 1st place,  £50.00 for 2nd & £25.00 for 3rd open male and female. There are prizes for 1st place in veteran categories.  There is also a prize for the 1st male and female teams.  All finishers receive a bespoke medal, water and snacks.
