Birmingham Black Country Half Marathon

Back To Black (Country)

Sign up for the Black Country Half Marathon and dream of the summer days ahead...

Is it spring yet? With weather warnings in place for the coming days I think we can safely say it isn't! But how about making plans for summer and dreaming of the warm days that do lie ahead?

The Birmingham Black Country Half Marathon is back again in 2024 and with a 6 July race date the longed for sunshine (and warmth) is pretty much guaranteed!

Runners enjoy this point to point event’s time trial format which is seeded based on predicted time but is very much open to runners of all abilities from the elite club runner to the social runner.

The route is largely flat with some locks and bridges as the only inclines, the route includes the famous 'Coseley Tunnel' the 360 metre tunnel that's a memorable feature of the scenic course. The route features floating drink stations (canal barges) every 3 miles offering runners water and electrolytes.

The finish line at Brindley Place in Birmingham is the perfect spot to relax and celebrate your achievement on the day with a host of pubs, restaurants and family entertainment available close to the finish. This adds a real fun element to the finish line as early finishers will stick around to enjoy a refreshment and cheer the later finishers across the line.
