20 Mile Forth Challenge Runners

Test Yourself With 20 Scenic Miles

Running an autumn marathon and looking for a long-distance training race?

If you've signed up for an autumn marathon this year and you are looking for a race to test your stamina in the run up to the big day then Blast Running's 20 Along the Forth is a fantastic option.

Taking place on 11 September, the fourth outing of this long-distance event will allow you to test your race pace, try out your race day kit, trial your fuel and hydration strategy and run with others. All of this while enjoying a gorgeous route along tarmac and trails by the Firth of Forth estuary.

Starting in Cramond, the route will then take runners through Dalmeny Estate, out to South Queensferry and up and over the Forth Road Bridge before heading back to Cramond. The course is approximately 50% tarmac and 50% farm roads, it is also undulating (1094ft of overall climb), but we are assured that 'there are no big hills to tackle!'.

Summing the race up organisers have said that it is: "a perfect mix of undulating trail running in Dalmeny Estate with a wee jaunt over the Forth Road Bridge thrown in for good measure!"

The entry fee is only £20 and £10 of this goes straight to the MS Society in memory of the organiser's mum who died in 2013 from the disease.
