Just Hours Left To Bag Windsor Early Bird

Thousands are getting ready for the big Windsor weekend

The clock is ticking for early bird entries for the Windsor Womens 10K and Windsor Half Marathon on the final weekend in September. Discounts of £2.50 and £4 respectively bring the costs down to just £23 for Windsor Womens 10K on Saturday 23 September and £33.50 for Windsor Half Marathon on Sunday 24 September – or £56.50 for both races.

The early bird sale offer ends this Friday 13 January so a sprint finish will be required to bag a bargain entry for either or both of the races that start and finish on the Long Walk with the magnificent Windsor Castle as the iconic backdrop.

Last held in 2021, the Windsor Womens 10K winner was five-time Olympian Jo Pavey (Exeter Harriers, 36:19) and there were 821 finishers in 1:45:37. The half marathon title holders are Paulos Surafel (Thames Valley Harriers, 1:05:08) and W40 Lesley Locks (Aldershot, Farnham & District, 1:21:33) as 1,942 finished.

Both races benefit from the optional Booking Protect cover, offering competitors the world's most flexible and comprehensive refund protection so entries can be made with confidence a long time in advance.

Andrea Watts (Bib #1005) and Claire Bracey (Bib #1039) both look pretty pleased with themselves en route to a joint 1:28:44 in the 2021 Windsor Womens 10K and they have stated their intention to return, posting: "Love this event, we will be there", on social media. It looks like wild horses wouldn't stop them, although the Copper Horse statue the course passes might make a brief selfie stop!
