Film festival for trail fans comes to Stroud

The Trail Running Film Festival is coming to the UK and you could be whisked away on a journey through some of the world's most beautiful off-road routes through the medium of the cinema screen.

The Trail Running Film Festival started when a group of USA trail enthusiasts got together on the chilly nights before and after the Orcas Island 50K in San Juan County, Washington about 15 years ago to watch their collection of trail running DVDs on the TV in the lodge. This grew into the first theatre show, then a national tour, and finally the international tour it is today.

Terry Chiplin of Active at Altitude is ready to welcome you to the only 2023 UK Trail Running Film Festival tour venue at Lansdown Hall in Stroud, Gloucestershire on Friday 28 April, doors open at 5.30 pm, for a true celebration of the trail running community.

There are nine films in the current portfolio and as the organisers say on their website: "The Trail Running Film Festival is back for 2023 and to say we're stoked is an understatement. Our team wants to bring the show to your town and we'd love to partner with you."

Active at Altitude is currently based in Nailsworth, Gloucestershire, and offers various trail running training camps in the USA, including a bespoke women-only running camp, and various tailored coaching opportunities. Terry Chiplin is a certified Level II Lydiard Running Coach and coaches for Revolution Running in Boulder, Colorado – surely the absolute epicentre for trail running in America.
