Crocodile Rock... and Run

This multi terrain race has plenty of bite and plenty of tunes to keep you going...

If you like your races with a bit of 'bite' then the Crocodile 8 on 26 May certainly delivers. This multi-terrain race in Herefordshire offers a bit of a 'bite' in the form of a steep climb but there is always plenty of entertainment along the way to keep runners going.

Indeed, this is a favourite event for many people due to the course, live music and post-race party which has become an occasion not to be missed!

The race of 8.8 miles is something of an unusual distance and sees runners enjoy a course that is a mixture of trails, woodland paths and tarmac circling around the villages of Burghill and Tillington.

The route also includes a climb up a set of steps or the 'crocodile’s back' for runners to sink their teeth into and feel immensely proud on reaching the top! Then it’s onwards and upwards to the finish. Organisers comment: "You will enjoy the best of Herefordshire's countryside and 'endure' the strength-sapping croc steps!"

There are prizes in the usual categories and a kids fun run, for which more details will be available soon.

The fun continues at the after-event party at Burghill Community Academy and the chance to recover after 8.8 miles. Eat, drink and compare notes about the course!
