Runner climbing up steps in the Snowdonia Trail Marathon

Snowdonia Trail Marathon in the spotlight as part of top global series

The only UK race in the Xterra international race series

Always Aim High Events has entered into partnership with leading sports brand XTERRA, as a step towards a better and brighter 2021. The renamed Snowdonia Trail Marathon on 11 July is part of their plans for a year of challenges for all.

It is a case of ‘onwards and upwards’ for Always Aim High Events who together with XTERRA, are looking ahead to a post-pandemic era. XTERRA have launched their new Trail Marathon Series of 10 globetrotting races that will appeal to endurance runners keen to test themselves in exotic and/or challenging locations. These include Taiwan, Italy, USA, Tahiti and closer to home, Snowdonia.

Starting and finishing at Llanberis, the Snowdonia Trail Marathon is one of the most picturesque races in the UK and a tough ‘un! It involves an ascent of 1,685ft over 27 miles through stunning scenery and a climb up to Snowdon via the Pyg Track then on to the finish using the Llanberis Path.

Tim Lloyd, Company Director for Always Aim High Events is enthusiastic about this partnership and what it holds for the future saying: “We are working on some additional and exciting plans to build upon our collaboration with XTERRA which we hope to share in 2021.”
