The Acorn Bank 10K returns on Sunday 13 September, with Eden Runners once again welcoming competitors to one of Cumbria's most picturesque road races. Now in its sixth year, the popular event combines an accurately measured 10K course with the stunning surroundings of the National Trust's Acorn Bank estate, creating a memorable race for runners of all abilities.

Starting and finishing within the grounds of Acorn Bank near Temple Sowerby, the undulating route follows quiet country lanes and tarmac footpaths through the beautiful Eden Valley. The professionally measured course provides an enjoyable challenge for experienced runners chasing fast times while remaining accessible to those taking on the distance for the first time.

The Acorn Bank 10K is about more than race day alone. Eden Runners will once again donate £2 from every entry to conservation projects at Acorn Bank, helping to protect the historic estate, gardens and surrounding landscape for future generations. Parking donations also go directly to the National Trust, giving participants another opportunity to support this special venue.

Every finisher will be rewarded with a slice of the event's famous traybake flapjack, including a vegan option, while prizes will be awarded across a wide range of age categories alongside the overall winners. With a race limit of just 200 runners and entries closing on Friday 11 September, those planning to take part are encouraged to secure their place soon for this unique Cumbrian 10K.
