2022 date set for Perth 10K Festival

Popular family event set for late next summer – with 10K entries now open

Scotland’s summer racing schedule is starting to fill up nicely, with the recent announcement of the return of the Perth 10K Festival.

The Fair City will host the next edition of their family friendly event – which has been going strong for over 30 years – on Sunday, 28 August 2022.

The race has long had a reputation for inclusivity, with ‘First or last, it's the same finishing line’ its guiding principle.

As in previous years, the main 10K event – open to runners of all abilities aged 16+ – will be accompanied by 3K and 1.5K fun runs, for children aged 12–15 inclusive and 11 and under respectively.

Fast and flat, organisers say the scenic 10K course is ‘perfect for those looking for a personal best and those new to running and doing their first event’.

All races start on the North Inch and follow the path alongside the River Tay.

All runners will receive a medal, and 10K prizes will be offered in the usual age group categories. There will also be prizes for the fastest male and female runners from the PH1/PH2 post codes.

Entries to the 10K are now open and limited to 500. Entries for the 1.5K and 3K Fun Runs will open in January.

Results from previous editions of the Perth 10K Festival are available from runABC Scotland.
