Runners At The Nottingham 10K

Nottingham 10K entries extended due to huge demand

A surge in demand for places means that entries are still available for Sunday's Asda Foundation Nottingham 10K. This year's race features a new route, starting and finishing at the Nottingham Rugby Club, which includes the Holme Pierrepont Country Park, home of the National Watersports Centre used by the UK’s elite athletes.

Entrants will complete a lap around the Regatta Lake then head towards Adbolton Lane and Holme Road before finishing back at the rugby club. This change will appeal to anyone chasing a target time as confirmed by Tristan Batley-Kyle, head of events at Run For All who described it as, "a great new course which offers excellent PB potential”.

Local charities will greatly benefit from the fundraising efforts of the thousands of runners at the event. The fortunate recipients include ten official partner charities.

Now in its third year, the Asda Foundation Nottingham 10K is part of a series of races from Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All who deliver top-quality, enjoyable events for everyone irrespective of ability. They fundraise on a local and national level, resulting in millions of pounds donated to worthy causes across the UK.

Many people enter for personal reasons whereas others run for a charity that is the official partner for the event. This year, the partner charities are the Canaan Trust, Equation, Jane Tomlinson Appeal, Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance, Macmillan Cancer Support, My Sight Nottinghamshire, Nottingham Hospitals Charity, Notts County Football in the Community, Rosie May Foundation and Treetops Hospice Care.
